Prejudice

Accurate knowledge is the basis of correct opinion; the want of it makes the opinions of many people of little value.

A lot of people will be unhappy in heaven when they discover that it is not the exclusive property of one denomination.

The longest leap in the world is to jump to a conclusion.

Prejudice is being down on something you are not up on.

Fanatics don’t change their minds and won’t change the subject.

Have convictions, but be sure your convictions are not prejudices.

Some convictions are nothing more than prejudices.

Prejudice is the child of ignorance.

Prejudice is a loose idea held tightly.

It takes a lot of cheek to uphold a narrow mind.

The difference between a conviction and a prejudice is that you can explain a conviction without getting angry.

Prejudice is having the answers without knowing all the facts.

Only a new love can destroy an old prejudice.

A closed mind is like a locked, shuttered house—it is secure and quiet, but also dark and gloomy.

A one-track mind rarely has anything worthwhile to offer in the way of views.
