A. Discernment between good and better

B. The Question:

1. Not: Shall I serve God or not?
2. But: Shall I serve God at home or overseas?

A Prayer for the Character, v. 10

A. Sincere = sunlight, judged so by God’s x-ray

B. Without Offences = do not become a stumblingstone

C. Till the Day of Christ = employees work with their eyes on the clock

A Prayer for the Life, v. 11

A. Character produces conduct

1. The character of Plum trees produce plums.
2. The character of Christians emerges into the open in Christ-like conduct.

B. Character of Christians

1. Roots = “in Christ”
2. Fruits = “in” and “by” Christ
   • Christians trust and obey
   • God provides everything so fruit can come
     • the rain
     • the dew
     • the wind
     • the sun
   • God receives glory and praise for His work
