Opportunity

Every man carries with him the world in which he must live.

Opportunity typically favors those who have paid the price of years of preparation.

God’s best gifts are not things but opportunities.

The danger is that we don’t aim too high and we miss it, but that we aim too low and reach it.

What we call adversity God calls opportunity.

Everyone faces the choice: Christ or condemnation.

All who don’t hearken to the “come” of salvation will one day hear the “depart” of damnation.

When embracing opportunity, give it a big hug.

Do that good deed now; you never know how soon it will be too late.

Small opportunities are often the beginning of great achievements.

Opportunity knocks only once, but temptation stays at the door for years.

A rejected opportunity to give is a lost opportunity to receive.

Obstacles are opportunities in disguise—let opportunity do all the knocking.

A gloomy day only makes a human rainbow all the more noticeable.

When you kill a little time, you may be murdering opportunity.

No opportunity is ever lost; the other person takes those you miss.

Today is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that comes everyday.

Real opportunity for success lies within the person—not the job.

Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation leans on the doorbell.

By the time most people have made up their mind, opportunity has passed them by.

A wise man makes more opportunities than he finds.

When opportunities knock, you have to get up and answer the door.

No one knows what he can do until he tries.

All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seed of today.

You can never find a lost opportunity.

One door may be shut, but there are many others still open.

Instead of crying over spilled milk, go and milk another cow.

Yesterday is a canceled check; tomorrow is a promissory note; today is the only cash you have—spend it wisely.

Whenever there is human need, there is opportunity to do a kind deed.

An opportunist is one who goes ahead and does what you had always been planning to do.

Opportunity is often dressed up in work clothes.

Weak men wait for opportunities—strong men make them.

Education is the key to the door of opportunity.

When opportunity knocks, about all some people do is complain about the noise.

Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.

Keeping your eye too closely on the future may obscure present opportunities.

Opportunities, like parking places, are plentiful for those who get there first.

There is no security on earth, only opportunity.

Good opportunities come to those who make the most of small ones.

Those who look for opportunities to hate miss many opportunities to love.

Three things come not back in this life: the spoken word, the sped arrow, the neglected opportunity.

Opportunities look bigger going than coming.

First deserve, and then desire.

Don’t wait for an opportunity to come; it’s already here.
