King Zedekiah imprisons Jeremiah for preaching:
1. The fall of Jerusalem to the Babylonians, and
2. The exile of Zedekiah to Babylon.
Jeremiah commanded to buy his nephew’s field, vv. 6-14
A. Jeremiah buys his nephew’s field for 17 shekels of silver, see Leviticus 25:25-34.
B. Jeremiah has title deed witnessed, sealed and copied for reference, vv. 10-12.
C. Jeremiah gave the deeds to Baruch to seal in a jar, v. 14.
Jehovah promises that land will be possessed by Judah again, v. 15.
