Church Members, vv. 1-2

A. Treat older saints with respect, but correct them when they are in the wrong.

B. Treat younger saints as brothers and sisters.

To Widows, vv. 3-16

A. The Family needs to support their parents.

B. Enrolled Widows’ Requirements for Church Aid

1. a widow with no family support
2. a godly woman, not a “drop-in, drop-out” visitor
3. must be at least 60 yrs old
4. must had a good testimony and record of service

C. Young widows

1. They should marry.
2. They should raise their children.
3. They should stay at home.
4. They should not give Satan an occasion for an accusation against them or the church.

To Church Leaders, vv. 17-25

To the Rich, 6:6-19

To the Educated, 6:20-21–>avoid philosophical arguments.
